Come celebrate the cathedral's 75th anniversary of the Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival at this art exhibit. The inspiration for this collection emerged from the spectacular and extensive inventory of costumes and props that have been used for decades in this pageant. The artwork available for purchase includes pieces by Barry Carlin, Constance Sanders, and Roy Steiner of Christ Church Cathedral. Please see purchasing details at the exhibit. Crossroad Health Center in Over the Rhine receives all net proceeds from purchases of prints of Barry's and Roy's artwork. Roy initiated this venture on a whim when he began sketching his impressions of the ceremony in 2005. Barry followed Roy's lead after joining him in the Plum Pudding Company in 2013. Singing in the Cathedral Choir prompted Constance to photograph the musical instruments along with other props. This exhibit encompasses just a portion of the hundreds of elaborate costumes and props that transport the audience to the medieval origins of this festival. Textiles include legacy banners from the Boar's Head archive as well as a new piece by Susan West. Some veteran Cathedral members recall a genuine stuffed boar's head by the name of Herman. Jim McGuire and David Noem have retrieved this fellow from hibernation and given him a makeover!

This exhibit will run through January 5, 2015. Free to the public during church hours.

All are welcome!
